    Cut your design

    Transfer tape

    Apply transfer tape across the whole piece of vinyl - BEFORE weeding or removing the backing paper.

    Weeding

    Now you can remove the backing paper and begin weeding the unwanted parts of your design, from the sticky side, off of the transfer tape. For added stability with this step, you can stick it back onto your mat. The transfer tape essentially acts the same way that the carrier sheet does for HTV, and holds the vinyl in place so it doesn't lift or stretch like it can when you weed the regular way.
